Pilling on swimwear is almost always caused by contact with rough or abrasive surfaces and is not a sign of a quality issue. Our suits are made from high-quality, durable fabric, but like all swimwear, they can be affected by friction from things like:
- Pool stairs, concrete pool edges and linings, patio surfaces surrounding pools
- Velcro or clothing with rough fasteners or trim
Because our swimwear is made in solid, bright neon colors for safety and visibility, small areas of wear may stand out more than on darker or patterned suits. But with normal wear and care, pilling is minimal or doesn’t occur at all.
To help protect your suit:
- Avoid sitting directly on rough surfaces—use a towel or cover instead
- Wash it inside out, by hand or on a gentle cycle
- Wash separately from items with zippers, Velcro, or coarse fabrics
These steps help maintain the smooth surface of the fabric and extend the life of your suit.
